prudent : wise, well judged, judicious, sagacious, sage, shrewd, advisable
lax : slack, slipshod, negligent, neglectful, remiss, careless
extraneous : irrelevant, immaterial
unnecessary : unneeded, needless, inessential, non-essential
sagacious : wise, clever, intelligent

"but while some people are able to learn without outside guid­ance and strictures, most people learn better when accountable to others." - this subverts the argument of autodialects, so they must in an opposite position to this. Thus, Extraneous and unnecessary are the answers.
