Hi,
Not sure if this is the right place but I'm a UK student looking to go to the US to do my MS and eventually (fingers crossed) an MD-PhD. In order to fund this I need some form of assistanship, ideally the graduate research assistanships but I'll take anything I can get. Does anyone know how these work? I know for PhDs you are automatically enrolled on to these during your course but for MS they always state that this is competitive/ not guaranteed. Whilst I am sure that my grades and previous research experience probably mean I'll be one of the better candidates for the at the schools I'm considering, I don't know how to apply for these- whether you wait until you get an offer or it's something you can indicate you want to be assessed for at the time of application? If anyone knows, it would be super appreciated. :)
