For statement 1,

We know area of the circle = π $$r^2$$

= π $$(\sqrt{7})^2$$

= 7π

In Statement 2,

We know area of the circle = π $$r^2$$

= π $$(\sqrt{14})/2)^2$$ (Since here diameter is given so we divide it by 2 to get the radius)

= $$\frac{14}{4}$$ π

= $$\frac{7}{2}$$ π, which is less than statement 1

Hence option A
