Line ADEH and BCFG both are parallel as both represent opposite side of rectangle...
Thus the distance between the two lines will always be constant and will be equal to AB or CD, call it h..

Area of ABCD = 5*h=5h
Area of EFGH = $$\frac{EH+FG}{2}*h=\frac{4+6}{2}*h=5h$$..EFGH is a trapezium here

so both are equal
