Explanation

Solve each equation by translating into algebra. The first is \(a=\frac{40}{100} \times 45\). Reduce and multiply to find a = 18. The second is \(18=\frac{b}{100} \times 90\). Multiply both sides by 100 then divide by 90 to find b = 20.

Quantity B is greater.
