Remember that x:y = x/y. So we've been given a bunch of proportions we have to work through to solve for b.

With e we can use cross-multiplication to solve for c, which we can in turn use to solve for d, which we can in turn use to solve for a, which we can finally use to solve for b. b = 35 so the answer is B.
