Let's convert the fractions to decimals and estimate...

We get:
Quantity A: 0.9 - 0.888
Quantity B: 0.888 - 0.9

NOTE: We need not actually calculate anything. Just notice that 0.9 is GREATER THAN 0.888
So, we get:
Quantity A: some POSITIVE number
Quantity B: some NEGATIVE number
