Quantity A: 5/6
Quantity B: a/b

Take the given equation, 36a = 25b, and solve for a to get: a = 25b/36

Take quantity B and replace a with 25b/36
We get:
Quantity A: 5/6
Quantity B: (25b/36)/b

Simplify:
Quantity A: 5/6
Quantity B: 25b/36b

Simplify:
Quantity A: 5/6
Quantity B: 25/36

Rewrite quantity A as EQUIVALENT fraction:
Quantity A: 30/36
Quantity B: 25/36

Explanation

Divide both sides by b, then divide both sides by 36 to find: \(\frac{a}{b}=\frac{25}{36}\).

Use the Bowtie to compare the two fractions:

36 times 5 equals 180, while 6 times 25 equals 150. 180 is bigger, so Quantity A is greater.
