\(257\)

A) Quantity A is greater.
B) Quantity B is greater.
C) The two quantities are equal.
D) The relationship cannot be determined from the information given.

\(10^3 = 1000\), so \(2(10^3) = 2(1000) = 2000\)
\(10^2 = 100\), so \(5(10^2) = 5(100) = 500\)

So, \(2(10^3)+5(10^2)+7=2000+500+7=2507\)

We get:
Quantity A: 2507
Quantity B: 257

Answer: A

Cheers,
Brent

I used this shortcut:
With 10 power 3 (equals 1000) in first question without any subtraction, QA is greater.
