(170) Video of me walking through a Verbal Section 'live.' [#permalink] New post 26 Dec 2018, 07:14
Official material is limited, which sucks, but ETS, in all of its glory, has posted some good stuff online. One example is a complete paper-based GRE test, which you can find here:https://www.ets.org/s/gre/pdf/practice_book_GRE_pb_revised_general_test.pdf.

This test has some minor differences compared to the computer-based GRE, but only in length and number of questions. The actual content is precisely the same, so it is a very useful resource.

Because I scored 170 on a real GRE test approximately a month ago, I thought that some would find my approach useful. With that in mind, I have put together a two-part video walk-through of me going through the first verbal section. The first video covers Sentence Equivalence and Text Completion. The second deals with the Reading and Critical Reasoning questions.

Part 1 - Sentence Equivalence and Text Completion: https://youtu.be/8vGNFE571AM

Part 2 - Reading and Critical Reasoning: https://youtu.be/0ejpj1JxCAs

Both videos also discuss the time management strategies I utilize to ensure that I not only complete the test efficiently, but do so in a way that maximizes the number of correct answers I obtain.

If you're interested, buckle up. The videos are a little on the lengthy side -- longer than the time it takes to actually complete a verbal section because I'm explaining my thought process throughout.

If you have any questions, please let me know! Hope you enjoy! Thanks everyone on here for participating in communal GRE study. It's a fascinating topic.
