The volume of a 3d rectangular figure is height*depth*width.

Then, if p = 20, the volume is (1+0.02)*h*(1-0.02)*d*w
If p= 40, instead, the volume is (1+0.04)*h*(1-0.04)*d*w

Simplifying the two expression getting rid of the letters, we remain with the comparison between 1.2*0.8 = 0.96 and 1.4*0.6 = 0.84.
